Govt committed to nurturing young talent, promoting emerging sports disciplines: Deputy CM

SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, today inaugurated the prospects of the National Soft Tennis Championship, scheduled to be held from 1st to 6th November, 2025 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM applauded the efforts of J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association and J&K Sports Council for developing sports culture across J&K. He highlighted that the Government is committed to nurturing young talent and promoting emerging sports disciplines in J&K.

He appreciated the players for their passion and urged them to set their goals high towards representing India at the Olympic Games, World Cups and Asian Championships. “Perseverance, discipline, and hard work are the true hallmarks of sporting excellence”, he added.

The Deputy CM also extended his heartfelt wishes to the organizers and participants of the 22nd Senior National Soft Tennis Championship.

The event witnessed the presence of the office bearers of the J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association, members of the organizing committee, and the J&K Soft Tennis Team that will represent the J&K in the forthcoming national championship.

On the occasion, the office bearers of J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association expressed gratitude to Deputy CM for his continuous support and encouragement towards the promotion of sports and youth development in Jammu and Kashmir.
