Srinagar: Police have arrested five absconders in Kulgam and Sopore, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
One Manzoor Ahmad Mahu, son of Sannahullah Mahu of Mander Bagh, Srinagar, was arrested for his alleged involvement in a case registered in April 20026 in Police Station Qazigund.
In Sopore, police apprehended four absconders, including three wanted in a heinous crime case. Mohammad Sadiq Khan, son of Mohammad Yousuf Khan; Ajaz Ahmad Shah, son of Mohammad Mozim Shah, and Mohsin Ali Shah, son of Mohammad Mozim Shah, all residents of Paranpilan, Uri, who had been absconding for the last 11 years, have been arrested, police said.
Separately, Shahzad Ahmad Lone, son of Mohammad Ramzan Lone of Bunkoot Bandipora, who had been evading arrest since 2019, has also been arrested, police said.
