Srinagar: Police have apprehended five long-time absconders in Baramulla and Awantipora, a police spokesperson informed Sunday.
He said in Baramulla, one Noor Mohammad Gojri, son of Abdul Rahman Gojri, resident of Kunzer, who had been absconding since 2008, was arrested from Beerwah, Budgam during a late-night operation.
In Awantipora four absconders — Yawar Manzoor Sofi, son of Manzoor Ahmad Sofi of Namblabal Pampore; Muzamil Rasool Wagay, son of Ghulam Rasool Wagay of Namblabal Pampore; Farooq Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Nabi Mir, resident of Drangbal Pampore, and Mohammad Shafi Wani, son of Ali Mohammad Wani, resident of Kadlabal Pampore – were arrested, police said.
