Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today continued his ongoing public outreach initiative, meeting several delegations and individuals at his Public Outreach Office Raabita here, to address and resolve people’s issues.

According to an official press release, among the visiting delegations, a team led by the Vice President of Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) presented suggestions on education reforms in J&K, while also highlighting the recent developments and concerns of the teaching community.

A deputation headed by the Chairman of Civil Society Baramulla raised important developmental matters concerning the welfare and progress of district Baramulla. Similarly, a delegation of SRO-43 candidates of JKPCC apprised the Chief Minister of their demands regarding settlement of their pending compassionate appointment cases.

In another interaction, the President of the Jammu & Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee, along with his team, discussed several issues related to employee welfare, service conditions and broader concerns of the workforce.

They expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the pro-employee initiatives undertaken by his government since assuming office, the press release said.

It said the Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to all the deputations and assured them that their genuine grievances and demands would be examined and taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate redressal.

He reiterated that his government is committed to responsive governance and remains focused on addressing the aspirations of the people across all sectors.

Among others, Deepak Bali, Advisor, Punjab Heritage & Tourism Promotion Board, Department of Tourism & Cultural Affairs, Government of Punjab, called on the Chief Minister and discussed various tourism-related initiatives and avenues of cooperation between the two governments.
