Srinagar, July 16, 2018: All Parties Hurriyat Conference on Monday said that Kashmir issue poses a threat to world peace and asked UNO and international community to take measures for the resolution of the dispute.

Welcoming the statement of Pakistan special envoy Sartaj Aziz, APHC, in a statement issued here, said that UNO had a great role to play in creating a conducive atmosphere and should impress India to accept ground reality regarding the long pending Kashmir issue.

“The prevailing confrontation and tension between India and Pakistan is a war-like situation and poses a threat to world peace,” said the statement.

The statement hailed statement of Sartaj Aziz and  termed it as encouraging saying, both India and Pakistan are nuclear countries and any flare up can prove extremely detrimental.

In the statement, Hurriyat Conference also expressed deep shock and grief over the death of nine people in a tragic incident in Reasi. In a condolence message Huriyat prayed for the heavenly abode for deceased and forbiddance and patience for the grieved families.
