D C Raina assumes office as JK’s new Advocate General

SRINAGAR, JULY 16: Senior Advocate D C Raina today assumed office as the new Advocate General of Jammu & Kashmir replacing Jehangir Iqbal Ganai.

Raina was accorded warm welcome by the officers and officials on his arrival in the office of the Advocate General here.

Pertinently, Raina is assuming the office of the Advocate General for the third time. He has earlier served as J&K’s Advocate General from September 2008 to January 2009 and from February 2016 to May 2016.

Raina has a longstanding career as a lawyer with almost 44 years’ experience. He has also functioned as legal advisor to some of the prestigious institutions including Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, J&K Public Service Commission and J&K Services Selection Board.
