Sakeena Itoo inaugurates newly constructed PHC at Devsar Kulgam

Reiterates govt’s commitment to expanding health infrastructure in rural, far-flung areas

KULGAM: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today visited Devsar Kulgam and inaugurated the newly constructed Primary Health Centre (PHC).

MLA Devsar, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad; senior officers of the district administration, health department, besides a large number of locals, were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the new PHC will greatly benefit the local population by providing accessible and quality healthcare services in their vicinity.

She reiterated the government’s commitment to expanding health infrastructure in rural and far-flung areas so that no one is deprived of basic medical facilities.

Highlighting some remarkable initiatives launched by the Government in the health sector, the Minister urged health staff to work with dedication and compassion in serving the people.

She further said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the government is committed to transparency, accountability, and pro-people approach, while ensuring holistic development across all regions of J&K.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Devsar, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad Shah, said that the PHC at Devsar will significantly augment healthcare services in the area. He assured continued efforts for the overall development of the region and also requested the Minister for the upgradation of hospitals and schools in the constituency.

Later, the Minister also interacted with locals and took stock of various issues and demands related to the development of their area.

Minister Sakeena assured them that their genuine issues and concerns will be addressed promptly.
