“Our priority is to ensure that every citizen, regardless of their location, has access to quality healthcare services and other basic necessities. Today’s Public Darbar is a testament to our commitment to transparent governance, accountability, and rapid response to public concerns,” Minister Sakeena stated.

She added that the aim of Government is to ensure that no voice from any corner goes unheard, adding that K.B Pora and all its adjacent areas deserve the same attention and developmental thrust.

The Minister highlighted that the Omar Abdullah-led Government is committed to addressing the developmental needs and other issues of the public. She further stressed that the Government is focusing on better infrastructure, employment avenues for local youth, and improved implementation of welfare schemes.

During the Public Darbar, Sakeena Itoo also interacted with local residents and took stock of their pressing issues and demands. Locals on the occasion raised various issues like upgradation of K.B Pora–Hawkwass road, establishment of a JK Bank branch and ATM, upgradation of Girls Middle School, staff augmentation at health centres and educational institutions, library and reading room, marriage hall, public park, and playground.

The Minister, while interacting with public delegations, assured them that their genuine issues would be redressed promptly. She also called upon officers to conduct periodic reviews and field visits in far-flung areas to effectively monitor public welfare services.
