Srinagar: Police in Awantipora arrested one drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police spokesperson informed that Rayees Ahmad Hajam, son of Ghulam Mohammad Hajam of Sharshali Khrew, was arrested at Babapora Khrew after one gram of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession.
A case has been registered for investigation, police said.
