Srinagar Sector CRPF celebrated the 87th Raising Day of CRPF with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour today at Group Centre, CRPF, Srinagar,

Rajesh Kumar, Additional Director General, JK Zone, CRPF, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Pawan Kumar Sharma, Inspector General, Srinagar Sector and Vineet Brij Lal, IPS, IG KOS CRPF, along with several other senior officers of the Force.

A special Sainik Sammelan was organised to mark the occasion, during which 22

officers and officials were felicitated with the prestigious Director General’s Disc and Commendation Certificates in recognition of their outstanding service, dedication to duty and operational excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Kumar lauded the glorious history of the CRPF, appreciating its commendable operational role in Punjab, LWE, North-East India and Jammu & Kashmir.

He also made a special reference to the valour displayed during the battle at Sardar Post, where a handful of brave CRPF personnel courageously stood their ground against an entire brigade of the Pakistani Army, showcasing unparalleled valour and sacrifice.

On the occasion, various games and a traditional Bara Khana were also organized to mark the event and boost the morale of the troops.

The event concluded with patriotic spirit and a renewed pledge to uphold the values and duties entrusted to the Force.
