LOP J&K Assembly reviews arrangements for Shri Machail Mata Ji Yatra 2025

KISHTWAR: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Paddar-Nagseni and Leader of Opposition (LOP) in J&K Assembly, Sunil Kumar Sharma, chaired a meeting to review arrangements for Shri Machail Mata Ji Yatra-2025, commencing from July 25, 2025.

At the outset, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma p, presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the arrangements made by the district administration.

The meeting was also attended by SSP Naresh Singh, ADDC Pawan Kotwal and officials of Machail Mata Yatra Cell.

After threadbare discussion, the MLA directed EO MC Kishtwar for the installation of sufficient mobile toilets at Shri Gori Shankar Mandir Sarkoot. The BDO Paddar was directed to ensure cleanliness and sanitation, especially along the Gulabgarh to Machail route.

EO MC was also directed to facilitate proper parking near ITI Kishtwar.

He also emphasised proper road maintenance from Kishtwar to Paddar, particularly at Pathernaki landslide-prone area, while directing GREF Authorities and XEN PMGSY to keep standby men and machinery from Gulabgarh to Chishoti route.

Furthermore, the MLA directed for foolproof security, especially in shadow areas, and stationing of SDRF/NDRF teams at vulnerable locations.

A technical team from JPDCL will be stationed at Yatri Bhawan, Gulabgarh and Machail to address any electricity-related issues. – he directed.

SSP and ARTO were directed to explore possibilities for changing the timing of heavy vehicles during the Yatra period to avoid inconvenience to devotees.

The CMO was directed to keep available adequate medicines and doctors at medical booths.

DC Kishtwar assured the MLA that the District administration is working tirelessly to put in place all necessary arrangements for the successful conduct of the yatra.
