SRINAGAR, JULY 22: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today chaired a meeting at Civil Secretariat here to review the overall healthcare infrastructure and facilities in Pampore Assembly Constituency.

MLA Pampore, Justice (Retd.) Hasnain Masoodi, Secretary Health and Medical Education; Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed, Director Health Services Kashmir; Director Family Welfare and Immunisation; Director Ayush; Director Finance Health and Medical Education department; Chief Medical Officer Pulwama and other senior officers of the health department attended the meeting.

The Minister took an in-depth assessment of the existing healthcare infrastructure and its associated facilities of Pampore Assembly Constituency. She also assessed the status of medical equipment, medicines and other essential facilities available for the people of these far-flung areas.

Addressing the officers, the Minister emphasised the need for further strengthening the healthcare infrastructure, upgrading medical equipment and ensuring availability of essential medicines in all health facilities of the Constituency.

“Healthcare is a basic right. We must ensure that every resident of Pampore, regardless of location, receives timely and quality medical attention,” Sakeena stated.

The Minister called upon the officers to expedite the works on all ongoing projects for timely completion. She directed the officials to submit detailed status reports of all public health institutions in the constituency. She called for immediate follow-up on stalled projects, including pending PHC upgrades and mobile medical units.
