   DDC inspects major development projects

RAJOURI, JULY 12: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today inspected several developmental works and reviewed the physical and financial achievements of some of the key projects being executed in the district.

The projects reviewed holds significance for strengthening infrastructure in education, tourism and road sectors besides providing enhanced residential facilities for students of tribal population.

The DDC inspected the status of work on various development works including approach road to Abdullah bridge, auditorium at Pahari hostel, Bhella park, GNM School, Girls hostel at Rajouri and Plangar, additional block of G&B hostel and Makote park and cafeteria.

DDC directed for fast tracking shingle mettling and macadamisation of approach road to Abdullah bridge and ring road from Abdullah bridge to District Hospital as completion of these works is prerequisite to initiate double laning of the bridge to address the issue of traffic jams in the town.

DDC also inspected works on auditorium for Pahari hostel and additional block at G & B Hostel and asked for preparing DPR for additional classrooms in girls’ GHSS Rajouri besides working out estimate for furnishing work at auditorium of Pahari hostel.

Earlier, the DDC visited the locations identified for establishing forest street/city forest.

Among others ACD Akhtar Hussain Qazi, DPO Dr Abdul Khabir, CEO Lal Hussain, CMO Dr Suresh Gupta, DFO Mushtaq Choudhary, AD Planning Bilal Mir and concerned Assistant Engineers accompanied the DDC.
