Handwara, 11 July: In a tragic incident, a youth drowned in a stream, Mawr Nallah, in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday.
The locals while identifying the slain as Imtiyaz Ahmed Bhat son of Mohammad Mukhtar Bhat, a resident of Wulrama Handwra, said that he drowned into a Nallah at Mawer area of Lagante in Kupwara while taking a bath.
“The deceased was washed away by the fast flowing water,” they added.
Meanwhile, the body was fished out from the stream hours after the incident took place.
Police has registered a case in this regard.
