Exhibition-cum-sale of outfits inaugurated at Govt Women’s Polytechnic College, Srinagar

Srinagar: Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Srinagar, proudly inaugurated an Exhibition Cum Sale of Outfits today, showcasing the creative and technical prowess of the students from the Department of Garment Technology.

The event was organised as part of the students’ final project submission, reflecting their dedication and skill in fashion design and garment technology.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Imtiyaz Ahmad Shaw, Principal, Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Srinagar, who lauded the efforts of the students and faculty for their hard work and innovation. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between academia and industry, providing students with a platform to display their talent and gain practical exposure.

Shafaqat Yousuf, Principal, Government Polytechnic College, Ganderbal, graced the occasion as the guest of honor. In her address, she commended the students for their exceptional craftsmanship and encouraged them to pursue excellence in the field of garment technology. She also highlighted the significance of women’s empowerment through skill-based education.

The exhibition featured a diverse range of outfits, including traditional, contemporary, and fusion wear, all meticulously designed and stitched by the students. Visitors appreciated the creativity, precision, and professionalism displayed in each piece. A special sale counter was also set up, allowing attendees to purchase the showcased garments, further motivating the students.

The event was attended by faculty members, students, and industry representatives, who expressed admiration for the high standard of work. Such initiatives not only enhance the learning experience but also foster entrepreneurship among students.

The college extends its gratitude to all participants, guests, and supporters for making the event a grand success.
