Speaking at the party’s headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Dr. Abdullah addressed various delegations from across Jammu and Kashmir. He resonated with their concerns regarding the significant transformations that have occurred since the establishment of the democratically elected government under Omar Abdullah’s leadership. The visiting delegations raised pressing public issues, to which Dr. Farooq assured prompt resolution.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah expressed confidence in Omar Abdullah’s leadership, stating that the government is dedicated to fulfilling all commitments outlined in the party manifesto. “Our singular motive is to foster unity and enhance public participation in policy formulation,” he said, adding, “Every stakeholder is consulted before any policy decision is made. We are committed to thorough discussions with diverse groups, ensuring that the doors of the secretariat remain open for the public to voice their concerns.”

He urged the people to embrace a spirit of unity saying, “We cannot achieve progress in Jammu and Kashmir without lasting solidarity among all segments of our society. We must transcend divisions based on religion or sect—be it Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Shia, or Sunni. Unity in diversity must be our guiding principle, now and always. Without it, we risk perpetuating our common challenges, such as poverty, unemployment, and underdevelopment. Our discord will only lead us into darkness. Divided, we cannot accomplish anything.”

On the occasion, General Secretary Advocate Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Showkat Ahmad Mir, and MLAs Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, Shameema Firdous, Salman Ali Sagar, Ahsan Pardesi, Women’s Wing Provincial President Er. Sabiya Qadri, Addl State Spokesperson Sara Hayat Shah were also present.
