Srinagar: Police in Anantnag said they have arrested two drug peddlers and seized a significant quantity of narcotics and cash from their possession.
A police spokesperson informed that police intercepted a vehicle (JK02CX-6665) with two persons on board Zirpara. During search of the vehicle, approximately 1.2 kgs of cannabis powder-like substance and a cash of ₹2.48 lakh were recovered.
The accused have been identified as Sabzar Ahmad Das, son of Mohammad Yousuf Das, and Adnan Nazir Das, son of Nazir Ahmad Das, both residents of Waghama Bijbehara, were arrested and the vehicle seized.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Bijbehara for further investigation.
