Commissioner Secy FCS&CA reviews status of shifting oil depots from Jammu city

JAMMU, JULY 07: Commissioner Secretary Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department, Dr Abdul Rashid, today convened a meeting to review the status of shifting oil depots from populated areas of Jammu city to an alternate site on its outskirts.

On the occasion, State Level Coordinator of Oil Marketing Companies Rajiv Yadav apprised the Commissioner Secretary regarding the progress in shifting of the oil depots.

The Commissioner Secretary directed the officers to expedite the process of identification of suitable land for shifting of oil depots from Jammu to outside the residential areas and take up the issue with Revenue authorities.

During the meeting, the Commissioner Secretary also directed the oil marketing companies (OMCs) to keep sufficient stocks of petroleum products, especially in the Kashmir Valley.  He also directed the representatives of OMCs and officers of the Departments to work in tandem and ensure timely completion of various ongoing projects viz; land acquisition for Bhatinda-Jammu pipelines, additional land for Leh depot and land for Anantnag bottling plant.

The Commissioner Secretary directed the OMCs to conduct the security audit of the facilities near the vicinity of Jammu and Srinagar and asked them to achieve the targets envisioned in PMUY well on time.

The meeting was attended by Director FCS&CA Jammu R.A.Inqlabi, State Level Coordinator IOCL Jammu Rajiv Yadav, Joint Controller LMD V. S. Sambyal, Deputy Director (Supplies) Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Deputy Controller LMD Manoj Prabhakar, and other Senior Officers of Oil Marketing Companies.
