After water, coal and mineral resources, now lithium reserves of J&K on sale: Kamaal
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar: J&K National Conference Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal Monday emphasised the urgent need for decisive action against terrorism, stressing that innocent individuals who have no connection to acts of terror should not suffer as collateral damage.

In a statement released from party headquarters, Kamaal said, “The people of Kashmir have vehemently denounced these acts of terror through protest marches, candlelight vigils, and silent demonstrations, showcasing a profound sense of collective grief. It is now imperative for New Delhi to capitalise on this sentiment and ensure the protection of innocent civilians who are unjustly affected, becoming collateral damage. The resounding rejection of terrorism by the people of J&K serves as the most potent antidote to terror instigated from across the border. The widespread protests across Kashmir following the incident underscore the rejection of violence by ordinary citizens. New Delhi must acknowledge and build upon this prevailing attitude to establish a foundation of trust. Punish the perpetrators without mercy, but safeguard innocent lives from collateral damage.”

Kamal also commended the unanimously passed resolution in the assembly, expressing deep shock and sorrow over the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. He highlighted that the Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir unequivocally represents the sentiments of the people against terrorism, aiming to thwart the malicious intentions of those who seek to disrupt communal harmony and hinder progress in the region and the nation as a whole.
