Budgam:  In a significant step towards enhancing healthcare infrastructure in the district, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam, conducted a detailed technical inspection of the under-construction District Hospital at Reshipora.
The visit aimed to assess the ongoing construction work and ensure that all activities are aligned with the project’s technical specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

Dr. Aijaz Kant, Medical Superintendent (MS) of District Hospital Budgam, accompanied Dr. Ahmad during the inspection.

Key Highlights of the Inspection:

Infrastructure Assessment: Dr. Ahmad reviewed the main hospital building’s construction progress, focusing on structural integrity, compliance with architectural plans, and the integration of modern medical facilities.
DPHL Lab Evaluation: The inspection included a visit to the designated area for the District Public Health Laboratory (DPHL), where Dr. Ahmad examined layout designs, planned equipment installation, and biosafety measures to ensure the lab meets public health and diagnostic standards.

100-Bedded Critical Care Block (CCB) Review: The CMO assessed the ongoing work on the CCB block, specifically reviewing the ICU setup, patient monitoring systems, and infection control protocols to ensure adherence to critical care guidelines.
Emphasis on Timely and Quality Completion

During the inspection, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad underscored the importance of maintaining high construction and safety standards. “The new District Hospital at Reshipora will significantly upgrade our healthcare delivery system. I have directed the construction team to prioritize quality and adhere to timelines, ensuring the hospital becomes a model of excellence in patient care and public health services,” he stated.

Dr. Ahmad also reiterated the need to integrate state-of-the-art medical technologies and infrastructure within the DPHL lab and the CCB block, which will play a crucial role in enhancing diagnostic capabilities and critical care services across the district.

The inspection marks a proactive step by the health authorities to ensure that the Reshipora facility evolves into a cornerstone of modern, efficient, and inclusive healthcare for the people of Budgam.
