Srinagar: A parliamentary standing committee on Home Affairs is scheduled to visit Jammu & Kashmir from April 26.
Sources said that a the Department- Related Standing Committee on Home Affairs is scheduled to undertake a six-day visit of Jammu & Kashmir from April 26 to May 01.
Headed by Rajya Sabha member, Dr Radha Mohan Das Aggrawal, the panel comprises 31 members from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
In its report tabled in the Parliament on March 06, the committee had suggested a slew of recommendations for boosting economy and infrastructural development in the Union Territory.
Ahead of the visit, Jammu & Kashmir government has begun preparations for the programme.
As part of preparations, Jammu & Kashmir has appointed 25 officers of Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) as liaison officers to facilitate the trip as well as the interactions of the delegation.
The officers have been directed to report to respective divisional commissioners on April 23 for briefing on their duties during the high-profile visit.
