Rajouri: An 18-year-old boy drowned while bathing in the Manwar Tawi river near Bagnoti Nallah in Rajouri district on Sunday afternoon.
Officials identified the deceased as Nitesh Verma, son of Vijay Kumar, a resident of Chak Jaralan.
The incident occurred when the boy was taking a bath in the river. Soon after the incident, local police reached the spot and summoned an SDRF team to launch an operation, officials said.
Efforts were underway to retrieve the body, officials said. (JKNS)
