Body of missing woman recovered in Bandipora

Bandipora: The dead body of a woman was recovered from Nallah Modhumati in Sonarwani area in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Mst. Jani Begum (30), wife of Nawab Chowan, a resident of Nigeenpora Athwotoo. She had been missing from her home since yesterday.

Following her disappearance, a missing report was filed at the concerned police station.

Officials said after the recovery of the body, necessary legal formalities have been initiated by police.

The cause of death is yet to be confirmed, and further investigation is underway, they said. (JKNS)
