Dr. Abid Rasheed lauded the Ramakrishna Mission for its dedicated services in providing quality healthcare to the masses. He expressed gratitude to the distinguished doctors for volunteering their expertise in public service.

During the event, the Secretary of Health dedicated a new eye testing machine (Auto Refractometer) to the medical centre and toured the facility to review its services.

Following the inauguration, the Secretary visited the mission complex, including the auditorium and the library for the youth. He observed that the mission’s serene and spiritual environment offers an ideal setting for focused studies and holistic intellectual development.

Interacting with the students preparing for various entrance examinations, he inquired about their career aspirations. He encouraged them to remain dedicated to their goals while staying connected to their cultural heritage. He advised them to make best use of the facilities provided by the Ramakrishna Mission and recommended studying the works of Swami Vivekananda, particularly his historic speech at the World Parliament of Religions.

Secretary Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu, Swami Yajnadharananda, highlighted the organisation’s commitment to the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Maa Sarada and Swami Vivekananda, emphasising the service to humanity as a form of divine worship. He also announced plans to organise such free camps monthly.

Swami Mahamedhananda and Swami Vijayayeshananda, along with others from the RKM, attended the visit and accompanied Dr Shah to the facilities.

The health camp provided a range of free medical services, including consultations with Neurologists, Orthopaedists, Gynaecologists, Dental Surgeons, ENT specialists, Ophthalmologists, Allopathy Physicians, Ayurveda Physicians, Physiotherapists, and Clinical Psychologists.

In addition to free consultations, the camp offered check-ups for blood sugar, HbA1c and blood pressure, free of cost. A Full Body Check-up covering 66 parameters, including CBC, LFT, KFT, Lipid profile, BSF, Urine tests and thyroid function tests (T3, T4, TSH), was available for a nominal fee.
