Srinagar: Police in Budgam have solved a theft case, leading to the arrest of accused persons and recovery of stolen property from their possession.
Acting on a complaint about theft of paddy from the granary of Ghulam Mohammad Rather of Wadwan, police during investigations questioned several suspects. During questioning, Umar Farooq Dar, a resident of Wadwan, confessed to the crime. He admitted to stealing the paddy and selling it to Toha Yousuf Dar of Gotapora Soibugh, police said.
The police also recovered approximately three quintals of stolen paddy from their possession. Both were arrested in the instant case.
