During the tour, the team played three matches against Maharashtra Women’s Cricket Teams, earning praise for their sportsmanship, cricketing skills, and resilience. The players had the opportunity to learn from cricketing stalwarts, including Ms. Surabhi Dadhichi, JKCA Women Selector and former Indian cricketer, as well as Mr. Hemant Kinikar, a former Indian player turned coach.

Beyond the matches, the team engaged in a series of educational and cultural activities, including a visit to the prestigious National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla and the Blades of Glory Cricket Museum. They also participated in a cultural exchange with local cricketers at the Mumbai Cricket Association Sports Complex, broadening their understanding of the game and strengthening sporting ties.

Upon their return, the team was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding, HQ CIF (K), who commended their performance and sportsmanship. He reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to supporting sports development in Kashmir, fostering opportunities for young athletes, and promoting women’s empowerment through sports.

This initiative marks another significant step in nurturing the aspirations of young Kashmiris, especially women, and paving the way for their participation in national-level sporting events.
