The tourists were not allowed for the Gondola ride and were stopped by the officials. Upon inquiry, the tourists revealed that they had obtained the tickets from a local guide, identified as Firdous Ahmad. They alleged they were duped into purchasing the fake tickets, unaware of their inauthenticity.

Gulmarg Police Station took swift action against the person who duped the tourists and registered a case after a written complaint was lodged by the victims (tourists).

Gulmarg police station shared details with the Kashmir images, “A case registered under FIR (No. 5, Dated 17.03.2025) at P/S Gulmarg against the alleged culprit, identified as Firdous Ahmad Reshi, son of Ab Rasheed Reshi, a resident of Baderkoot, under Section 318(2). Authorities have assured strict action against those involved in the fraudulent mode of issuance of Gandola tickets.”

Meanwhile officials at Gondola warned tourists from getting duped and purchasing tickets from unauthorized people in the area.
