3 drug consumers held in Awantipora

Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug consumers from Awantipora area, a police spokesperson informed Tuesday.

He said three drug consumers who were found in suspicious circumstances in a vehicle (JK01BA-3092) were arrested. They have been identified as Hilal Ahmad Ahanger, son of Abdul Satar Ahanger of Badipora Budgam; Nasir Ahmad Mir, son of Mohammad Ashraf Mir of Badipora Budgam, and Aftab Ahmad Magray, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Magray of Sugam Budgam.

During questioning, they admitted that they are regular drug consumers and accordingly they were shifted to drug de-addiction/rehabilitation Centre Tral where the test of all the persons was conducted which came positive.

A case under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Awantipora.
