Srinagar: Glowing tributes were paid to the prominent Islamic scholar and Shia cleric, Mir Sheikh Mehdi Hussain Hamdani Al-Najafi, at a large gathering in central Kashmir’s Khanda, Budgam.

The event was held in remembrance of Allama on his 26th death anniversary.

According to a press release, the event attracted a large gathering, including esteemed religious scholars, who gathered to honour and pay tribute to the departed soul.

On this occasion, eminent Zakirs, including Agha Syed Mushtaq Moosavi, Dr. Zakir Manzoor-ul-Hassan, and Zakir Feroz Ahmed, delivered a special eulogy dedicated to the late Maulana. At the same time, the speakers highlighted the scholarly contributions of the deceased.

Allama Mir Sheikh Mehdi Hussain Hamdani Al-Najafi’s son Maulana Sibt Mohammad Shabir Qumi who is the chairman of Pairwan-e-Wilayat Jammu and Kashmir, expressed his gratitude to all the participants of the ceremony.
