Baramulla: Security forces on Wednesday claimed to have recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from a forest area in Anganpathri in Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The recovery was made during a joint operation conducted by the police and the Indian Army, a police spokesperson informed.
He said the arms and ammunition were concealed inside a hollow pine tree and wrapped in a blanket, they said. The recovery includes three AK-47 rifles, 11 AK magazines, 292 AK rounds, one UBGL, nine UBGL grenades and hand grenades
Following the recovery, a case has been registered at Police Station Boniyar, and further investigation is underway, police said.
