Commr Secretary IT reviews projects being handled by BISAG

JAMMU: Commissioner Secretary, Information Technology, Saurabh Bhagat, today held a review meeting regarding various projects of Jammu and Kashmir being handled by Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG) at Civil Secretariat, Jammu.

Besides the Project Director, BISAG-N the meeting was also attended by the CEO, JaKeGA; SIO NIC J&K; Director of Finance, IT; Additional Secretary, IT and other officers of the department.

During the meeting, the Commissioner Secretary reviewed all the projects being handled by BISAG-N. He had detailed assessment of projects like JK-Samadhan including Raabita-Grievance Redressal Wing in CM Secretariat (a window for handling the online grievances on existing Samadhan portal); AI-based classification of grievances under JK Samadhan 2.0; Kisan Khidmat Ghar; Daksh Kisan; JK Yuva App (Mission Yuva); Sehat Mobile Application; Progress Output Tracking Application-the Kisan Sathi Output Tracking Mobile Application for HADP; E-commerce for handloom items; JK Jalshakti Mobile app; JK PWD mobile app; PM-Gatishakti – State Master Plan; Revenue–Cadastral Mapping and JKCIP.

The Commissioner Secretary asked the BISAG-N to develop an application based on PM Gati Shakti for applying online NOC for small hydro projects having less than 25 MW capacity in the renewal sector in Science & Technology. He further pointed out that it is essential to measure the objectives set under these projects. He made out that there is no better way to meet these ends than using IT and other modern tools like AI and IoT which are mostly error-free and efficient to a larger extent.

The Project Director, BISAG-N informed that most of the projects have been completed and the rest are in the completion stage and shall be completed soon. He has been directed to share the latest status including timelines for completion.
