Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and Handwara and recovered contraband substances from their possession, an official handout informed Tuesday.
It said one Malik Sajad, son of Nazir Ahmad resident of Pandithpora, was arrested at Hundi Nowshera along with 10 grams of heroin-like substance.
In Handwara, at Qalamabad Chowk, 25 grams of contraband charas-like substances was recovered from the possession of Javid Ahmad War, son of Ghulam Nabi War of Lach Mawar. He was arrested on the spot.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations for further investigation, police said.
