Power shutdown scheduled for Alusteng Grid Station on Jan 28 and 30

SRINAGAR: The Power Development Department has announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar and adjoining areas to facilitate the commissioning of a tertiary bus arrangement for the 220 KV Transformer at the 320 MVA, 220/132 KV Grid Station in Alusteng.

As per the official notification, in order to carry out commissioning of Tertiary Bus arrangement for 220 KV Transformer at 320 MVA, 220/132 KV, Grid Station Alusteng, the shutdown of 220/132 KV, 160 MVA, Transformer Bank-I, Alusteng Transformer Bank/ Feeder shall be observed from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM on 28 & 30 January, due to which Wussan, Safapora, Kangan, USHP-I & II, Lal Bazar, BAMK, Hazratbal, Ellahibagh, Lar-Tullmulla, Ajar, Aloosa, Gurez, Zakura, Power House, Nagbal 33 KV feeders will be affected while power supply to the Wussan, Safapora, Kangan, Lal Bazar, BAMK, Hazratbal, Ellahibagh, Lar, Tullmulla, Ajar, Aloosa, Zakura, Nagbal and adjoining areas will remain off.

Similarly, 220/132 KV 160 MVA Transformer Bank-II, Alusteng Transformer Bank/ Feeder shall be observed from 02.00 PM to 05.00 PM on 28 & 30 January, due to which Wussan, Safapora, Kangan, USHP-I & II, Lal Bazar, BAMK, Hazratbal, Ellahibagh, Lar-Tullmulla, Ajar, Aloosa, Gurez, Zakura, Power House, Nagbal 33 KV feeders will be affected while power supply to the Wussan, Safapora, Kangan, Lal Bazar, BAMK, Hazratbal, Ellahibagh, Lar, Tullmulla, Ajar, Aloosa, Zakura, Nagbal and adjoining areas will remain off.
