Admin chalks out measures to boost tourist footfall in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH JULY 01:– The district administration Doda today chalked out measures to boost tourist foot fall in Bahderwah and framed rates for hotels and restaurants here at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Bhawani Rakwal.

The meeting was attended by senior officers of district and  local administration,  representatives of  Beopar Mandal   Hotel Association and Paying Guest House association  Bhaderwah.

To keep check on over-charging, categorization of hotels with reference to facilities and tariff to be charged thereof besides the rates for meals to be charged by Dhabas, Restaurants and Guest houses were framed and finalized in consultation with the stakeholders.

The Chief Executive officer, Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA)  gave a detailed presentation with regard to various activities being carried out for promotion of tourism. He also listed the bottlenecks which need to be overcome to ensure quality and comfortable stay of tourists round the year.

The meeting discussed in detail the issues relating to tourism promotion and facilities being provided to the tourists.

To ensure clean and pollution free atmosphere at high altitude,  BDA was asked to check use and transportation of plastic material. The Police as asked to assist BDA to eradicate use of polythene and other illegal activities at the tourist places.

The divisional officer ST. Pollution control board was asked to conduct inspection of Hotels, Guests house restaurants to ensure proper disposal of biodegradable and non-biodegradable material scientifically under intimation to the CEO BDA.
