The event commenced with a pledge ceremony with the participants affirming their commitment towards adhering to road safety norms. This was followed by a signature campaign and sticker pasting activity to reinforce the message of responsible driving. The highlight of the day was the flag-off of the car rally, with vehicles adorned with banners and slogans advocating road safety, spreading awareness across the city.

Held at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Rajbagh, Srinagar, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation and served as a platform to disseminate the importance of road safety.

Later, the Transport Commissioner visited the Trial Test Ground in Srinagar, where he emphasised the importance of two wheelers using proper helmets and car drivers consistently wearing seat belts while obeying road safety rules. He issued instructions to the concerned officers to streamline best practices in the driving test process for achieving licenses.

Mahajan also assured that a hi-tech, robust mechanism would be established for the future transport system, guaranteeing quality services by the transport department.
