Chief Planning Officer Srinagar, Chief Horticulture Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, District Social Welfare Officer, District Mineral Officer, Engineers of R&B, PHE, PDD, Tehsildar North, BMO Hazratbal, Lead Bank Manager and other District Officers were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, local DDC members and people of the area, projected various issues and demands before the Deputy Commissioner and other development-related matters.

The DC after giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, issued on-the-spot instructions for their time-bound redressal. He assured people that all other genuine demands and issues projected by them would be taken up with concerned authorities on priority.

Addressing the gathering, the DC said the purpose of holding such grievance redressal Camps is to take an appraisal of local issues from the general public for their time-bound redressal. He said such programmes also guide the Administration to plan developmental interventions for the public good and reach to the doorstep of the people instead of them visiting the DC Office or other Government Offices.

During the Public Grievance Redressal Camp, ACD Srinagar highlighted various Schemes of the Rural Development Department particularly, PMAY-Gramin.

Similarly, Engineers of KPDCL also highlighted the benefits of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli’s scheme and urged people to install Rooftop Solar plants under the scheme.

Later, the DC inspected progress on the construction of the Syedpora Bridge being constructed at a cost of Rs 3.40 crore over Maloori Nallah connecting Danihama, Chatterhama, Ahal, Khimber with Darbagh, Harwan, Dara, Theed, Muftibagh and other villages.

It was informed that over 60% work has been completed on the project and shall be completed by August 2025.

The DC also took stock of the works on the construction of the approach road for Steel Grid bridge Danihama.

On the occasion, the DC directed the concerned executing agencies to accelerate the pace of works on projects of public importance so that people residing in adjoining habitations are benefitted.
