Scheduled power shutdown announced across several areas in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas to carry out stabilization, maintenance, and improvement works on 33 KV lines and receiving stations.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out Twining/ stabilization of 33 KV line, the shutdown of 33KV Amargarh-Arampora line shall be observed due to which Receiving Stations at Arampora, Panzipora and Sher Colony shall remain off while power supply to the Panzipora, Arampora, Sher Colony and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM on 11, 15, 18 and 21 January, 2025.

The shutdown of 33KV Magam-Kongamdara line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Kunzar and Dobhiwan shall remain off while the power supply to the Kunzar, Kralweth, Lalpora, Chichilora, Hard Aboora and Dhobiwan areas will be affected from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM on 11 January, 2025.

Also, to carry out Stabilization/improvemen /oil topping and maintenance of Receiving Station, the shutdown of the 33KV Alasteng-Nagbal line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Alasteng, Nagbal, Gadoora and Tulbagh shall remain off while the power supply to the Shuhama, Bakura, Darend, Nagbal, Fatehpora, Check, Gadoora, Tulbagh and Chundina areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 11 January, 2025.

Further, in order to carry out the stabilization/improvement of 33 KV Shariefabad Narbal Line and 33 KV Shariefabad Wadwan Lineline, the shutdown of 33KV Shariefabad Narbal line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Narbal and Sanoor shall remain off while the power supply to the Narbal, Mazhama, Sanoor, Malpora, Kawoosa, Sozeith, Radbugh & Lawaypora areas will be affected from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 9 &11 January, 2025.

The shutdown of 33KV Shariefabad Wadwan Line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Shariefabad, Soibugh and Wadwan shall remain off while the power supply to the Soibugh, Daharmuna, Wadwan, Russu, Prmus, Shariefabad and Durbal areas will be affected from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 13 January, 2025.

Moreover, to facilitate works related to completion of 33 KV Kalantra Tap line, the shutdown of 33KV Delina Wagoora Line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Sangrama, Wagoora, Kreeri and Ichloo shall remain off while the power supply to the Sangrama, Kreeri, Nowpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:30 AM to 04:30 PM on 11 & 13 January 2025.
