JAMMU: A delegation of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee led by Raman Bhalla, former Minister today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The delegation comprised of senior Congress Leaders including Yogesh Sawhney, Ved Mahajan, Ravinder Sharma and Rakesh Wazir discussed with the Lieutenant Governor various issues of public importance.

Meanwhile, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Chairman of District Development Council Budgam, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The DDC Chairman submitted a memorandum of demands to the Lieutenant Governor highlighting key development issues of Budgam district including the stoppage of the Vande Bharat train at Budgam railway station.

He requested that the stoppage of the Vande Bharat train would provide a much-needed boost to the district’s economy by improving connectivity and attracting more tourists to renowned destinations such as Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, Tosamaidan, and the revered Charar-e-Sharief shrine.

Nazir Ahmad Khan also extended gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor for his continued support in developmental projects in Budgam, particularly the construction of bridges over Nalla Sukhnag in the Beerwah constituency, which has been a long-pending demand of the local population.

The Lieutenant Governor assured the DDC Chairman that appropriate action would be taken to address the issues projected by him during the interaction.

Meanwhile, a delegation of newly elected office-bearers of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu led by its President Advocate K. Nirmal Kotwal, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The delegation comprised of Adv. Baldev Singh, Adv. Pardeep Majotra, Adv. Anshu Mahajan and Adv. Rahul Aggarwal apprised the Lieutenant Governor on various concerning issues of the legal fraternity.

Subsequently, Ajatshatru Singh, former Minister and senior BJP Leader called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Singh.

He was accompanied by Ritu Singh.

Subsequently, Abida War, Chairperson of J&K Solace Employees Working Women Association and Ms Jagmeet Kour Bali, President of All Sikh Minority Employees Association and All Employees Joint Association Kashmir (M) also called on the Lieutenant Governor.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Ganesh Mandir Prabandhak Samiti called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and apprised him on the development issues of Ganesh Temple, Ganpatyar, Srinagar.

Dr. Rafique Anjum, ‎Chair Professor in Tribal Studies, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, and Shivali Sharma, Convenor, Press Core Council (NGO) from Rajouri also called on Lieutenant Governor.
