MD JJM reviews implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in Ganderbal & Budgam

SRINAGAR: The Mission Director (MD) of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Khurshid Ahmad Shah, today reviewed the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in twin districts of Ganderbal and Budgam in his office chambers at Civil Secretariat, Srinagar.

The meeting follows a series of interactions held by the MD to assess the overall position regarding various components of JJM.

Detailed presentations were given by the concerned officers about the status of ongoing work in their respective divisions. The chair was apprised that 61 works related to nine schemes are going on in the Ganderbal districts which have been saturated already but works related to uncovered and new habitations are going on in full swing.

Regarding Budgam district, the MD was informed that 163 schemes were taken up under JJM out of which 101 schemes have been completed. The chair was assured that the remaining schemes would be completed within the set timelines.

The chair was also informed that Divisional and Sub-divisional control rooms have been established for grievance redressal in Budgam District.

The MD directed the Executive Engineers and field officers to speed up the pace of work being executed and assured them full support of the ission Directorate to achieve the set targets.

The meeting was attended by the Executive Engineers of Civil Divisions, besides their counterparts in the Mechanical and Ground Water Divisions. The Sub-Divisional officers were also attending the meeting.
