CRPF organizes free medical camp in Lal Chowk

Srinagar: The 132 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), deployed in Lal Chowk, Srinagar, organized a free medical camp today under the Civic Action Programme at Pratap Park, near Lal Chowk. 

The initiative, held under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kothibagh, aimed to foster confidence-building measures and strengthen police-public relations by providing essential healthcare services to the local community.

The camp offered comprehensive health check-ups, distribution of essential medications, medical advice, and complimentary medical kits to attendees. The event drew a significant turnout, with around 300 local residents benefiting from the healthcare services throughout the day.

Prominent dignitaries present at the event included R.C. Bishariya, DIG (Medical), Srinagar; Ranjan Kumar Baruah, Commandant-132 Bn CRPF; Kishore Kumar, Commandant-79 Bn; Pal Singh, Commandant-75 Bn; Biplab Sarkar, Commandant-117 Bn; and Hari Prasad K.K, IPS, SDPO Kothibagh.

The contributions of Sh. Ranjan Kumar Baruah, Commandant-132 Bn CRPF, Dr. Sheeba Ashraf, Medical Officer of 132 Bn, and Tufail Anjum Reshi, Medical Officer of 79 Bn, were highly appreciated by the attendees, residents, and media representatives.
