During the meeting, Javed Rana took a detailed review of different water supply schemes (WSSs) focusing on the completion of different schemes, physical targets, fund utilisation as well as the implementation of JJM in the region.

While chairing the meeting, Javed Ahmed Rana fixed timelines for the completion of all Water Supply Schemes in the Pir Panjal Region saying that the work needs to be done on a war footing basis. He issued strict instructions to the officers to regularly monitor the progress of schemes to ensure their timely completion.

He took serious note of the held-up projects and asked the Chief Engineer to put in strenuous efforts to bring an improvement in the system for the welfare of the people.

He also reviewed the arrangements being made by the Jal Shakti department for maintaining a continuous supply of water in the far-flung areas. He called upon the officials to increase their visibility on ground and take proactive initiatives like having a prompt complaint redressal system to address the problems of the general public. He emphasised upon them to focus on delivery, outcome and effective grievances redressal mechanisms so that people do not face any kind of inconvenience.

He cautioned the officials against any laxity in implementation of JJM as it is a very prestigious project and the government is committed to provide assured basic services to the people living in rural areas and JJM is a step forward towards that. During the meeting, Javed Rana was given a detailed note on the status of different water supply schemes subdivision wise and the expected completion date.
