Srinagar: In an inspiring ceremony held at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) Regimental Centre in Srinagar on December 3, 2024, the fourth batch of 99 Agniveers was attested, marking the culmination of their rigorous training.
The young and determined Agniveers began their training on May 1, 2024, embarking on a 31-week journey designed to transform them into battle-ready soldiers. The comprehensive training program involved challenging physical and mental conditioning, instilling military ethos, regimental traditions, social etiquette, camaraderie, and a resolute spirit essential for disciplined soldiers and responsible citizens of India.
The ceremony commenced with a Rashtriya Salute to the National Flag, followed by an oath-taking parade where the Agniveers pledged their allegiance to the nation. The event was attended by proud parents who were honored with the Gaurav Padak, a token of recognition for their selfless contribution by allowing their wards to serve the country.
The attestation parade showcased the resilience, discipline, and dedication of these young soldiers, ready to uphold the highest standards of service and commitment in their roles.
