Srinagar: The Bandipora-Gurez road has been temporarily closed due to fresh snowfall at Razdan Top, officials said on Saturday morning.

An official said that considering the adverse weather conditions, drivers, and passengers have been advised to avoid traveling on the road. Snowfall commenced early this morning at Razdan Top, prompting the temporary closure to prioritize traveler safety.

SDM Gurez Mukhtar Ahmad confirmed the road closure, attributing it to snowfall and unfavorable weather conditions. As a precautionary measure, movement on the Gurez-Bandipora road has been suspended.

Officials reiterated the advisory for drivers and passengers to refrain from using the road until further notice.
