Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah departed for Saudi Arabia on Monday to perform Umrah.

Abdullah had already announced about his intentions to perform Umrah on social media platform X.

Sources said that MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq too is accompanying him on the pilgrimage.

Earlier, Abdullah had shared the news on X, stating, “Alhamdulillah, political clearance has come. I will be traveling to Saudi Arabia on Monday to perform Umrah and offer prayers at Al Masjid an Nabawi (SAW) in Medina.”
