SRINAGAR: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, organized a Lok Adalat for Consumer cases at the District Court Complex, Mominabad, Srinagar.
The Lok Adalat, aimed at amicably resolving consumer cases, and was held under the direction of Jaffer Hussain Beg, Chairman DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge) Srinagar, and under the supervision of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Sub-judge/ Secretary DLSA Srinagar.
To facilitate the amicable settlement of cases, a single bench was constituted for the Lok Adalat, which took up 18 cases up for settlement, out of which 09 cases were amicably settled and Rs.6220270 was awarded as settlement amount in Consumer Cases.
By organizing Lok Adalats, DLSA Srinagar continues its mission to provide equitable access to justice for all, ensuring that litigants can resolve their disputes quickly and amicably without the prolonged procedures typically associated with conventional courts.
