Srinagar: Police in Kulgam claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A specific checkpoint was established at Batingo Kund by the Police Party of Police Station Kund and during checking one person moving in suspicious condition was intercepted.
During the search, 36 grams of Brown sugar-like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Mohd Maqbool Lone son of Sanaullah Loan resident of Waripora A/P Ruzloo. He has been arrested and shifted to the police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 31/2024 under the section of law has been registered in Police Station Kund and an investigation has been initiated.
