While we continue to focus on building infrastructure, it is equally important for parents, teachers and the community to collaborate in guiding our students toward realising their full potential.”

Later, Sakeena Masood chaired a meeting with senior officers to discuss winter preparedness.

The meeting was attended by the officers from various departments including Health, Education, Social Welfare, JKPDC and local administration. The primary agenda of the meeting was to ensure uninterrupted delivery of essential services during the challenging winter months in the snow-bound areas.

The Minister discussed several key issues related to winter preparedness, including the need for timely snow clearance on roads, ensuring uninterrupted power supply and ensuring healthcare facilities are adequately stocked with essential medicines and supplies. She asked all the departments to be proactive in preparing for winter besides ensuring that all critical services including electricity, drinking water and healthcare, continue without disruption, even in the harshest conditions.

Sakeena Masood stressed the need for close monitoring of essential services in remote areas, especially those prone to heavy snowfall.
