LG Sinha, CM Abdullah, Minister Sakeena Masood greet people on Gurupurab

Srinagar: The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, has greeted the people on the eve of Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

In a message, the LG said: “On the auspicious occasion of Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, I convey my heartiest greetings and good wishes to all.

“The life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji are an abiding source of inspiration for all and continue to guide the path of humanity. His teachings of brotherhood, love, truthfulness and sacrifice inspire us to lead a righteous life and strengthen the bonds of unity.

“May all of us strive to follow his noble teachings and rededicate ourselves to the cause of humanity and social equality”.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also extended his warm greetings to the Sikh community on the occasion of Gurpurab.

Chief Minister said that Guru Nanak Dev ji’s teachings of compassion, unity, and selfless service continue to inspire people across all communities.

In his message, the Chief Minister stated that we should continue to build a society based on mutual harmony, respect and inclusivity.

The Chief Minister conveyed his best wishes to all celebrating on this occasion and expressed hope that the spirit of Guru Nanak Dev ji’s teachings should continue to foster unity, peace, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Masood too has extended her heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially Sikh brethren on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab, marking the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

In her greetings, Sakeena Masood underlined the universal message of love, peace and equality that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings embody. She expressed her hope that the occasion inspires people of all faiths to come together in the spirit of compassion and unity.

She also praised the significant contributions of Sikh community to society, recognizing their dedication to service, equality, and social justice.

The Minister also prayed for peace, prosperity and happiness across Jammu and Kashmir.
