Power supply interruption in parts of Anantnag and Budgam Districts on Nov 16 and 18

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department (JKPDD) has announced scheduled power outages in various areas of Anantnag and Budgam districts for maintenance and improvement works on high-voltage lines.

To facilitate the stabilization of the 33KV Mattan-Pahalgam line from Aishmuqam to RMU Pahalgam, power supply will be interrupted on November 16 from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. This outage will affect receiving stations at Pahalgam, GIS Pahalgam, and Batkoot, as well as the areas of Pahalgam Town, Aru, Chandanwari, Batkoot, Yanner, Laddi, and Langenbal.

Additionally, JKPDD will be charging a dedicated 11KV line to supply power to the Transit Camp Wantrag. Consequently, power interruptions will impact several receiving stations, including Iqbalabad, Hutmurrah, Salia, Aishmuqam, Saller AIS, Pahalgam, GIS Pahalgam, and Batkoot. The areas of Mattan, Aishmuqam, Salia, Saller, Hutmurrah, Seer, Pahalgam Town, Aru, Chandanwari, Batkoot, Yanner, Laddi, and Langenbal will also experience outages on November 16 from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM.

In Budgam, maintenance work involving branch cutting along the 33KV Kanir Tap Line will result in power cuts on November 16 and 18 from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. Areas affected include Kanir, Hanjura, Hushroo, Zoohama, Nowpora, Dadompora, and Barwah.

Residents and businesses in the impacted areas are advised to make necessary arrangements in anticipation of these scheduled outages.
