Farooq Ahmad Shah, MLA from Gulmarg, attended the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, Shah commended the Federation’s commitment to promoting Wushu in Jammu and Kashmir, encouraging local youth to explore the transformative benefits of sports. “Sports build physical fitness, morale, and unity, and I urge our young people to consider it not only as a passion but as a potential profession,” Shah stated, underscoring the value of athletic pursuits in fostering positive lifestyles. He presented awards to the top performers, encouraging them to continue achieving excellence for both the state and the country.

Following the championship, Shah attended a key meeting of the Travel Agents Society of Kashmir (TASK) held along Boulevard Srinagar, where he joined TASK’s executive members in discussing challenges and growth strategies for the region’s tourism industry.

Shah’s participation highlighted the importance of partnerships between policymakers and industry stakeholders in enhancing Kashmir’s appeal as a destination. Discussions centered on improving infrastructure, preserving cultural heritage, and boosting the overall tourist experience in the region.

Shah reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives that uplift both the youth through sports and the tourism sector, which he described as vital to Jammu and Kashmir’s economic and social progress.
